Mississippi Black Women’s Roundtable is creating a learning community of leaders who have a broader knowledge of legislation and regulatory policymaking, making it extremely easy for them to articulate the impact on their field. As they move through the program, they will begin to transfer knowledge to their peers providing them with opportunities for continuous learning resources.

Mississippi Women in the Lead (MWL) is designed to help Mississippi women navigate the challenges of running for elected office and prepare them to become effective public policy advocates. The program will help participants become well-equipped to run for elected office and champion progressive and equitable public policies that impact the lives of women and most vulnerable populations in our state.

By bringing individuals who may experience gender and/or race-based discrimination into the policy process, MWL will support leaders who will advance a policy agenda that is responsive to the needs of Mississippi’s women, girls, and vulnerable populations.

Empower and uplift Black women and girls in Mississippi by sitting at the table with us! Share a little information about your specific interests, gifts, and talents. In return, we’ll update you on upcoming events, pertinent information about the community, opportunities to work with us, and other ways to become part of the movement.
